Special characters on Crickee

140 characters is both a lot if you are not talkative and so few if you are.

So, in addition to what you find on your keyboard, Crickee offers special characters:

• A set of smileys that you just click at the bottom left of the dialog boxes you find on the Public Hall, in your messages, comments, slide show, pings ... well, wherever you can send messages to your tribe. To learn more about the smileys to click and discover the codes of those you do not know yet, go here.

• The possibility of making a nickname clickable when you write or give their name. For example, if in a conversation on the public hall or in one of your messages you write @thomas, simply click to be redirected directly to their profile page.

• A classic way to put in your messages and conversations directly clickable urls like http://crickee.com

All these characters and clickable links must of course be used in respect of the conversations, and if you have other ideas to make them even more enjoyable, please let us know!

A ping? What to do with a ping?

How to send the same message to all your tribe, for example tell them where you are, what you are doing, give them an appointment or simply announce a big news?

Send a ping! That's what they are made for.

140 characters that you can send from your computer or your mobile phone.
Through it you can show your status, ask a question, or even tell that you have just published a blogpost or you are selling your car.

Your most recent ping appears at the top of your profile page.

So, the most recent ping of your contacts are on the top of their profile page :-)

In short, you will have understood, a ping is the fastest way to reach all of your tribe, and to be informed about what each of your tribe is doing.
Now, you just have to find your own way of what to do with it !

How?

• Login to your account Crickee
• Click on Me then Pings

• Write, illustrate or not with a smiley and send. Voilà!

Public Hall, how does it work?

You noticed the tab to the Public Hall, but you can not access it or you do not understand how it works? Here are some answers!

• First, to access the Public Hall you must have completed your profile and uploaded your best oic.  How to? Click on Me then on Profile once logged on Crickee.
  And yes, that means you need to open an account on Crickee.
  Do not hesitate, it's free!
• This done, you're now ready to go chat live with other members of Crickee.
  How the does the Public Hall work?

1. The list of last 25 last people on the chat.
2. There, you can write your message and send it
3. You can also visit Public Halls in different languages
4. You can also offer gifts, it is also friendly :-)
5. In case of troubles or conduct not complying with Crickee Chart, please let us know!

A tip before you begin? If you prepend the name of the person you talk with an @ a clickable link leading directly to their page appears on the Public Hall.

You've got pics? We've got slides-show!

A question from jo-62 (among others) regarding pics to be shared with Crickee friends.

Yep, you can share your own pics. Better, you can create animated albums: the slides-show.

Note: Be sure to only use pics you are allowed to! Don't use pics without permission or without copyright.

How to? Easy as a pie:

• Go to the Me tab, then click on Slideshows

 

• Scroll down then click on Add

• The follow the way. Browse, upload your best pics, chose a background, set the effects etc.

• Don't forget to give a title to your slideshow, then save it.

• Here you are, now your pics are ready to be shared with your friends!

Tip : you can leave messages and comments on your slides-show and others of course! More d'info.

Plus, you may want to discuss with particular people or you have a message, you are - rightly - boring to repeat endlessly.

How to get there?

• Click on Me, then Settings

In addition, you can change it every time you want!

Feel free to use it.

How to progress on Crickee website?

Thanks Loulou for asking (in french) this question whose answer could interest most of you.

You will find on your profile page your current level, and the number of missing okees to reach the next level.

How to win these okees? Several options, it's up to you to discover those that suit you.

For each action you perform on Crickee, you win a few or a lot of okees. Post a ping, a slideshow, write a message, chat in the public hall, play games, offer a drink, invite friends ...

Tip: For those reading this blog, a little secret between us: when someone acts on your profile, you get more okees and vice versa :-)
Ask your friends to leave comments, offer gifts, so you will progress faster!

I hope this will answer loulou's question and enable all of us to climb very quickly at the Crickee top :-)

How to challenge your FaceBook Friends on Crickee?

If you enjoy playing and be among the best, challenging friends, the Crickee "bazaar" is made for you. Did you know that when you submit your best score you can compare your score with your FaceBook friends?

Just choose your game, improve your score.

When your are done, submit it by entering your nickname and click submit score.

Tip: Do you have a FaceBook account? If you wish to compare your score with your FaceBook friends, then you can simply check the box Compare your score and follow the way once you are logged into your account via Crickee.

You can even set a challenge by clicking on "Challenge".
